Ludhiana, March 3, 2015: Ludhiana Management Association (LMA) organised lecture cum panel discussion on `Expanding Your Business to Canada’ on Monday evening at a local hotel. The event was organised in partnership with High commission of Canada and LMA. Tina Shih, First Secretary and Trade Commissioner, High Commission Canada and representatives of various provinces in Canada along with Dr K.N.S.kang, Senior Vice President, LMA, dignitaries, business professionals and entrepreneurs of Ludhiana were also present on the occasion.
Tina Shih, First Secretary said that Canada is the second largest country in geography and offers huge opportunities in various business ventures. She said that Canada is the Gateway to North American market for India and has strong strategic and economic tie up with American business, which can act as great opportunity for Indian entrepreneurs to explore. She highlighted that stable economy, best of art transportation facilities, low inflation and Competitive Tax systems as main advantage which on offer for India. She further said that Canada has Dynamic work force, Quality R&D facilities, superior innovation policies and multicultural society which are prerequisites for any country to decide about making investments. 
Mitali Bandekar, Director, Quebec Province while addressing the audience said that Quebec offer good opportunity in area such as Aerospace, automotive and agricultural products. 
Chaitania Pathak from British Columbia highlighted the opportunities in Mining, Gas and Digital Media in their province while Sudhir Rangan strongly advocated business potential in oil and gas , financial services and Retail in Alberta province.
Dr K.N.S.Kang, Senior Vice President said that Canada is geographically well placed for Indian Business to enter into North American market. He said that India and Canada culturally and ethnically has lot of commonalities and these must be exploited in fostering strong business tie ups.
