Cancer patients will get latest treatment facility in Medical College Tanda: Parmar
Dharamshala, October 1, 2018: There is news of relief for cancer patients coming to Tanda Hospital in Himachal Pradesh. Facility of Linear Accelerator for Cancer patients is going to start here soon. Giving this information Health and Family Minister Vipin Singh Parmar said, “With this facility, cancer patients will be given a lot of relief during the treatment.” He said that 24 crore rupees were spent to purchase Linear Accelerator Machine for this Hospital and the process of recruiting specialists for running it has also been started. Health Minister Tanda was speaking on Monday ,at the launch of a two-day workshop organized by the Kangaroo Maternal Child Protection Unit (KMC Unit) and the Himachal Chapter of Himpedicom. The Health Minister said that for the purpose of providing better health care to pregnant women and infants, Mata Shishu (mother –child) Hospital is being constructed for Rs. 40 crores in Tanda. This will provide pregnant women with all the facilities related to health under one roof. Similarly, the idea of raising Mata Shishu Hospital at different places in the state is being carried out. Parmar said , “ 26 new vehicles will be included in the convoy of 108 ambulance service. Apart from this, old ambulance vehicles will also be replaced in a phased manner. He said that the government has instructed the company operating 108 ambulance service to fix smooth operation of this service in the state.” He said that all possible steps will be taken to make Tanda Hospital as the best health institute of North India. Dr Bhanu awasthi , Principal Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College, Tanda, Joint Director Sunyana Sharma, Dr. Meenu Singh, Dr. Alka MS Dr. Gurdarshan, and Dr. Seema Sharma were present in the workshop.
