CAPACITY BUILDING TOUR FOR RAJOURI YOUTH TO LUDHIANA AND CHANDIGARH

Jalandhar, August 6, 2017: Capacity Building Tour (CBT) for youth of militancy affected remote and far flung areas of Rajouri District for 10 boys and 10 girls selected from various tehsils of Rajouri district who had earlier attended various vocational and skill development courses conducted by Army is going through out successfully as per the scheduled programme. The tour was started on 02 Aug 2017 and will be return on 12 Aug 2017.

During the tour the boys and girls visited the industrial city of Ludhiana from 04 to 05 August 2017. During their visit the students visited the Hero Cycles Factory, Monte Carto Garments factory and Oswal Woolen Mills to get the first hand experience of the production, quality control, R & D etc. The management and staff of these factories were very enthusiastic and supportive in sharing their knowledge and experienced in the industry. During the interaction the management also guided and advised the students about ways and means to acquire knowledge in various trades to join these industries.

The students were also taken to the Pavilion Mall in their leisure time to introduce them to the modernity and development. This was a eye opener for these selected youth who got a firsthand exposure to the world outside their remote tehsil. The tour has motivated them to strive hard to achieve bigger goals in life and be a part of the development in the country.
