Capacity Building & Training program on Waste Segregation held in Doaba College

Jalandhar, February 22, 2023: Eco Club@DCJ launched 2 day Capacity Building Training program on Swachh Bharat Mission in collaboration with Punjab Municipal Infrastructure Development Company (PMIDC) and Reap Benefit Foundation for students. 

The event was launched by Bharat Bansal – NGO Reap benefit Foundation. The community facilitator and motivators from Municipal Corporation Jalandhar were also present in the event. The resource persons were accorded a hearty welcome by Principal, Dr Pardeep Bhandari, Dr. Ashwani Kumar and Dr. Shivika Datta, Co-ordinators Eco-club of Doaba College. 

In the first session, Bharat Bansal interacted with the students and emphasized on the activities like Waste Segregation at source, replace plastic bags with cloth bags, Single use plastics and their eco-friendly alternatives and Audit for community and public toilets. 

On the second day, the session was focused on knowledge sharing and implementing the problem solving tools, introducing, and designing the audit and experiencing technical resources. Around ninety students from various departments actively participated in this two day event.
