Capt Amarinder says Khushwant Singh’s death great loss to literary world

Chandigarh, March 20, 2014: Former Chief Minister and Permanent Invitee to the Congress Working Committee Capt Amarinder Singh today condoled the death of noted writer and journalist Khushwant Singh.
In a condolence message Capt Amarinder said, with Khushwant Singh’s death not only had the country lost a great writer and a journalist, the literary world had suffered a great loss. He pointed out, Khushwant Singh was one of the very few pioneers of Indian writers in English.
The former Chief Minister also recalled his association with Khushwant Singh. He said, only a couple of weeks back he had read Khushwant Singh’s column which appeared simultaneously in many newspapers. He said, his death will be felt for a long time.
