Dr Nidhi Singh, Career Counsellor, DBEE Ludhiana was the key speaker
Ludhiana: A webinar on career counselling under the guidance of ADCD cum CEO DBEE was organised at Ramgarhia Girls College by its Career Counselling Cell on 15th January and 28th January.
Dr. Nidhi Singh, Career Counsellor, District Bureau of Employment & Enterprise (DBEE) Ludhiana was the key speaker. She deliberated on the theme “How to prepare for competitive examination after graduation. She apprised the students about various career options available after graduation particularly in the Civil Services , Banking and Railways. She also guided them about the steps to prepare for competitive exams along with focus on its four components namely Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, General Knowledge and General English. She stressed that consistent and in-depth subject study and updating the knowledge about current affairs are the keys to attain success in the competitive exams. She also shared the district helpline numbers to settle the queries of the students regarding availability of jobs. Employment officer Harpreet Singh Sidhu also highlighted about the various loan facilities and camps to be organised on every Friday.
Principal, Dr. Inderjit Kaur congratulated Prof. Ajit Kaur, H.O.D. P.G. Dept of Commerce on the efficient planning and execution of this webinar in which more than a hundred students participated and benefited. Covid-19 has created an economic slow down and today, more than ever, it is necessary to prepare students to face the world and get into good jobs.
