Career Counselling & psychological testing workshop at Dev Samaj College of Education

Chandigarh, November 9, 2018: Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36-B, here, organised a workshop on ‘Career counselling and psychological testing’ under the aegis of capacity building initiative of Rashtriya Uchattar Shiksha Abhiyan(RUSA). The resource persons were Maj (Retd.) Rajneesh Kumar, with over 12 years of experience in the Indian army and Anjali Taneja, who is a Counselling psychologist from Panjab University.
The workshop was inaugurated with a welcome speech by Dr.Anuradha Agnihotri a member of the organising team. This workshop was for budding counsellors including M. Ed students, students of Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling and Postgraduate students in child and family counselling. The workshop conveyed important details regarding the present day counselling scenario. The workshop was full of enthusiastic participants who actively participated in the fun activities conducted in the same. There were three case studies presented and psychological analysis of the same was done by Maj (Retd.) Rajneesh Kumar via discussion. Psychometric tests, mainly aptitude, interest, personality, study skills and learning style tests were conducted by the counsellor Anjali Taneja . The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by another member of the organising team Dr. Kamini Gupta.
