Carelessness about covid-19 can be fatal: BJGVJ

Carelessness about covid-19 can be fatal: BJGVJ

Ludhiana: The Bharat Jan Gyan Vigyan Jatha (BJGVJ) has warned that increasing carelessness about COVID-19  after the lifting of lockdown can have serious impact on our health and life. Whereas lockdown is an administrative action the COVID-19 is a health emergency. Corona infection has not ceased to occur rather the experts have warned that peak is expected in June and July and this is being confirmed by reports of increase in the rate of rise of number of cases.
Dr Arun Mitra – ENT Surgeon  & General Secretary BJGVJ has expressed dismay at that the administration virtually  stopped sanitization of the Mohallas at a time when peak is expected. The people are crowding at different places. It is advisable to use masks, wash hands with soap and water, sanitize and maintain physical distance of minimum of six feet even more aggressively than before.  The BJGVJ said that the mutation in the Corona resulting into a more deadly virus is result of environmental degradation. Therefore on this World Environment Day today we should pledge to care for the environment locally and be alert about the global issue related to environment.  The jatha appealed to the people not to be swayed away the myths like the cow urine or cow dung for COVID-19. It is unfortunate that the Prime Minister gave statement that we won Mahabharta in 18 days and will attain victory over Corona in 21 days. This is totally unscientific. Such statement from his mouth can be misleading and spread wrong feelings in the society.
Those gave the statement include Ranjit Singh President, M S Bhatia – Organising Secretary, Gurcharan Kochar, Kusum Lata and Adv.Inderjit Singh Sodhi.
