Dharamshala, April 6, 2016: A case registered in Dharamshala court against student leader Kanhaiya under IPC sections 124-A, 499, 500, 504, 505, 511 by a national shooter -cum –ex-Subedar of the Indian Army Kahan Singh Thakur of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh at the Session Court Dharamshala on Wednesday through his lawyer Vishav Chakshu.
National shooter, the Retd.Sub.Kahan Singh Thakur of Mandi District said, “I have registered a case against the student leader of JNU Kanhaiya on 6th of April in Dharamshala, for not apologizing about his unsocial remarks about the Indian soldiers.” Talking to this correspondent he said that as the deadline of replying to his notice has already been expired on 27th of last month, he has no other option than to go to the court of law for justice.
Earlier, on 14th March, Thakur, an ex-serviceman of village Dalah The Padhar District Mandi sent a legal notice to Kanhaiya Kumar President JNU students Union through Vishav Chakshu, Advocate, Dharamshala. On that day Vishav Chakshu said that his client, who is retired Subedar has come to know through media that Kanhaiya has said on woman’s day, “We will raise our voice against Armed forces Special Power Act (AFSPA). While we have a lot of respect of our soldiers, we will still talk about the fact that in Kashmir women are raped by security personnel.” Advocate said that Kanhaiya also made similar remarks about security forces in Rwanda, Africa and Gujarat, where the women were not just killed but were raped first.
Keeping in View of these facts the advocate Vishav Chakshu sent him a legal notice and show cause as to why the necessary proceedings and by pleading your offence as anti national may be filled against Kanhaiya within 15 days from the receipt of the notice.
Chakshu said on Monday, “On 6th April a large number of ex-servicemen and their families gathered in the war memorial of Dharamshala to register their concern over the said statement of the student leader of JNU.
