CBI arrests SE (Civil) of Border Road Task Force

Jalandhar, March, 20, 2013: The Central Bureau of Investigation has today arrested a SE (Civil) FS, Commander, 763, Border Road Task Force(BRTF), Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh) for possession of huge cash. A case was registered U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1) (d) and (e) of PC Act, 1988 for possession of unaccounted cash of about Rs.15 lakhs and assets beyond known sources of income.

The Commander, BRTF was detained today from Guwahati Railway Station   while he was travelling to New Delhi  by Guwahati-Delhi Rajdhani Express with cash of about Rs.15 lakh for which he could not give any reasonable explanation . Documents relating to 5 bank accounts and two flats at Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) were recovered.

Searches are being carried out at his Noida houses and ancestral village at Sultanpur in U.P.

The arrested accused is being produced today in the Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Guwahati.
