CBP held for security personnel of PU

Chandigarh: The Centre for Police Administration and the University Security Wing in collaboration with the UGC-HRDC, Panjab University, Chandigarh has organized the three days (i.e. 6th-8th, February, 2020) Capacity Building Programme (CBP)  for the security personnel of the Panjab University, Chandigarh. The second day (i.e 7th February, 2020) of the CBP began with the introductory address of Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Chairperson, Centre for Police Administration who highlighted the significance of different aspects of security management in present times. 

During the three technical sessions, in first session Mr. Hemant Kumar (DIG) (BSF) discussed the concept of security management. He explained the concept of physical security, access control, escorting and protection of VIP. Mr. Kumar with his team further gave the practical insight to the participants by demonstrating various methods of security management. 

In the second session, Mr. Shiv Ram Krishan, Faculty member, HP Police Training Centre, Daroh focussed on techniques of security management. He deliberated on the concept and techniques of patrolling, barricading and method of visitor registration. 

In third session, Dr. Jyanti Dutta, Deputy Director, UGC-HRDC, Panjab University, Chandigarh discussed the concept and significance of code of conduct, police ethics and self-development. The second day of CBP has witnessed the enthusiastic participation of the security personnel.
