CBSE Affiliated Schools Association issues public notice
Member schools shall charge and demand same fee structure as of previous session 2019-20 and offer option of monthly and quarterly payment facility in order to give relief to the parents during this pandemic
Ludhiana/Jalandhar: CBSE Affiliated Schools Association has issued a public notice - the copies of which have also been circulated to the schools mentioning that “the member schools shall charge and demand same fee structure as of previous session 2019-20 and offer option of monthly and quarterly payment facility in order to give relief to the parents during this pandemic.”
According to sources in the local schools affiliated to CBSE, the public notice stated that “all member schools shall adhere to the following formula devised by the association for collection of fee for the session 2020-21, keeping in view the Hon'ble High court orders.
a) Tuition Fees- 100% for entire session
b) Annual charges- 70% of the previous year till physical reopening of the schools. Once the schools re-open 100% of the annual charges for remaining months
c) Transportation fee - 50% of the previous year can be charged till physical reopening of the school. Once the schools physically re-open 100% of the transport charges may be charged for remaining months
d) Other charges relating to maintenance and sanitization of the premises and infrastructure may be charged from the parents
e) Schools shall not charge any other fee for which service has not been provided to the students such as meals, computer fee, lab fee etc till the physical reopening of the schools.”
This Public Notice further reads that “parents are advised to clear their dues for quarter April - Jun 2020 by 31st July, 2020 so that schools are able to continue with providing education, pay salaries to their staff and meet other expenses including statutory payments and bank interests.
Parents who are genuinely financially affected during lockdown period i.e. till 8th Jun 2020 due to Covid-19 and may file their application with the concerned school authorities in writing along with necessary proof about their financial status within 7 days of publication of this notice, which shall be looked into by the school authorities sympathetically, defer the payment or give concession, on merits. In case the parent is still aggrieved, in any manner, with an adverse decision by the school on his application, he may approach the Regulatory Body, so constituted under Section 7 of the Punjab Regulation and forward copy of application to the association office at mail ID [email protected] for speedy resolution.”
Further, this Public Notice reads that “all the member schools shall in future compulsorily take “No Objection Certificate" (NOC) and TC issued and signed by no less than the position of the Principal of previous Schools for any new admission from class 1st to grade 11th with immediate effect.”
It may be mentioned here that this Public Notice has been issued by president of the association- the copy of which has been made available to City Air News by the authorities of a Jalandhar-based school management today.
