CBSE three day teacher training program at Sacred Souls’ School
Mock classes were conducted by senior teachers
Mohali: Sacred Souls' School organized three day faculty training program. The reviews of CBSE workshops attended by teachers were shared and explored. In session on de-stressing, teachers learnt effective strategies to curb and avoid stress. Mock classes were conducted by senior teachers. Feedback and discussion was also done, after the classes, focus given on enhancing the teaching learning process and to understand learning habits. On the third day a stimulating activity on self-evaluation was organized to help them to see their strengths and scope of improvement areas to build personal as well as professional capacity.
Later, teachers also unwound and relaxed during the Aerobics, Zumba and Yoga. Principal of the school Manbir Brar said that the need and desire to improve should not be overlooked. Teachers should not only have strong subject knowledge but also be mentally, physically and emotionally fit. Teachers must be learners for effectual teaching. She further added that Classroom management refers to the wide variety of skills and techniques that teachers use to keep students organized, orderly, focused, attentive on task and academically productive during a class. She further added that rules, routines, trust is basic requirement to run classroom smoothly and effectively.
