CCTV CAPTURES ANOTHER LITTERBUG, DC ORDERS MC TO IMPOSE PENALTY
• TEA VENDOR FOUND DUMPING WASTE OUTSIDE CENTRAL JAIL • DC APPEALS PEOPLE TO DUMP WASTE ON DESIGNATED PLACES Ferozepur, April 13, 2019: The hi-tech CCTV cameras installed by the district administration for making Ferozepur the cleanest city of the country continue to yield results as one of the cameras has captured another litterbug who was found dumping the waste outside the central jail. After the image surfaced in the camera, the deputy commissioner Mr Chander Gaind immediately ordered the Municipal Council to impose the penalty on the guilty who is said to be a local tea vendor. Divulging more details, Municipal Council Sanitary Inspector Mr Sukhpal Singh said that the fine will be imposed on the tea vendor under Solid Waste Management Rules. He said that the CCTV cameras were installed on ten spots of the city on the direction of deputy commissioner Chander Gaind and day to day monitoring was being done. Meanwhile, the deputy commissioner Mr Chander Gaind appealed the people to dump the waste on 12-identified locations and action will be taken against those violating these orders. He told that the picture of the litterbug will also be displayed on the public places. He also solicited the support of Ferozepurians to make the city best in the country and asked them to join hands with the district administration in this initiative.
