Jalandhar, September 6, 2024: DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, celebrated Teachers' Day with heartfelt reverence for the educators who serve as second parents to students. This special occasion, marked by grandeur and festivity, provided an opportunity to reflect on the profound impact of education and the pivotal role teachers play in expanding horizons and illuminating the path of knowledge.

The celebration featured the prestigious Des Raj Vedhera Memorial Awards, which recognize outstanding educators for their exceptional contributions. In addition to these honors, teachers from the school were acknowledged with awards across various categories, celebrating their dedication and excellence in education. The event highlighted the school's commitment to honoring and appreciating the invaluable role of teachers in shaping future generations.

Many teachers were awarded on the occasion. 


Innovative Teaching Aid Creation (TLM) Competition- Every year on Teachers' Day, the school presents a unique challenge to its educators, designed to highlight their academic skills as well as their creativity and innovative thinking. This year, the focus was on innovation in the classroom through the Innovative Teaching Aid Creation (TLM) Competition. Teachers were tasked with designing and develop creative teaching-learning materials aimed at enhancing the educational experience for students. The teachers invested considerable effort and creativity into crafting remarkable teaching aids that promised to enrich the learning environment. The competition showcased the ingenuity and commitment of our educators to improving educational practices. The entries were meticulously evaluated by esteemed jury, Vandana Kalia and Sujata Midha. Their expertise and insights were instrumental in assessing the effectiveness and creativity of the submitted teaching aids. Result: First- Amita Sharma, Ankit ,Ravneet; Second- Aanchal, Geetika, Kiran; Third- Sonia Sharma, Ashima, Ranju, Rajni Sharma; and Appreciation- Satnam Singh, Meena, Oorja, Sunanda Mehta, Satish, Baljinder Kaur, Tanya.

Dr. Yogesh Gambhir, the Principal of the school, also extended his congratulations to the teachers. He praised their dedication and commitment to the institution, acknowledging their hard work and the positive impact they have on the students and the school community.
