The event was conceived as a way to celebrate India's independence through its culinary heritage. The organisers aimed to create a platform where food became a medium for understanding and appreciating the country’s rich cultural mosaic. Anirban Gupta, Manoj Das, and Gurnider Singh, the mentors behind the event, played a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life. Anirban Gupta shared, "India's diversity is one of its greatest strengths, and this event was an attempt to celebrate that through the universal language of food. Each samosa here tells a story, and together they weave a narrative of our country’s unity in diversity."
The preparation of the 500 samosas was a massive undertaking, and it was made possible by the collaborative efforts of students and faculty members. Sudhanshu Priyadarshi, Jaspreet Kaur, Priyanka Bassa, Vijender Noonwal, and Jyoti Pandey were the guiding lights for the students throughout the event. Under their mentorship, the students learned not only the culinary techniques required to prepare the samosas but also the importance of teamwork, creativity, and dedication.
Vijender Noonwal reflected on the hard work that went into the event: "The students have shown immense dedication and creativity. They’ve put their heart and soul into each samosa, and it’s incredible to see their hard work come to fruition in such a spectacular way. I believe this event will be a memorable experience for all of us."
Jaspreet Kaur added, "This event was more than just about cooking; it was about understanding the cultural significance of each dish. The students researched, experimented, and brought their unique perspectives to the table. It was a joy to mentor them through this journey."

Many of them expressed their excitement at the prospect of breaking the International Limca Book Record for the most samosa varieties ever prepared. One student shared, "We’ve put so much effort into this event, and we’re thrilled at the possibility of making history. It’s not just about the record; it’s about representing our college and our country’s diverse culinary heritage on an international platform. We want to make our mentors and peers proud. "Another student reflected on the learning experience: "Working on this event taught us so much about India’s different cultures and cuisines. It was a challenge, but also incredibly rewarding to see people enjoy the samosas we created."
