Celebration of Gandhi Jayanti at Apeejay School
Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, under the esteemed guidance of Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson of Apeejay Education and Co-Founder and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University.
Jalandhar, October 2, 2024: Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, under the esteemed guidance of Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson of Apeejay Education and Co-Founder and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University.
The celebration began with a heartfelt speech by a student on "Gandhi Ji's Perception of Life," emphasizing the values of truth and non-violence that Mahatma Gandhi championed. Following this, students recited poems honoring Gandhi’s ideals, capturing the essence of his teachings. A PowerPoint presentation was showcased, detailing Gandhi Ji's early life, the significant movements and protests he led, and his pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle.
For pre-primary students, teachers enacted a play bringing Gandhi Ji's values to life, making it an engaging and educational experience for the youngest members of the school community.
The event also acknowledged the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second Prime Minister of India, reinforcing the importance of his contributions to the nation. The day concluded with reflections on peace and the enduring legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, inspiring students to carry forward his timeless teachings. Sangeeta Nistandra, the Principal of the school, gave her heartiest wishes to the students and encouraged them to follow the footsteps of these great leaders.
