Chandigarh, August 7, 2024: Today, University Institute of Fashion and lifestyle technology celebrated Handloom Day with great enthusiasm and creativity. The event featured a series of competitions, including poster making, fabric ornamentation, and a quiz, aimed at promoting the rich heritage of handloom arts.
The winners of these competitions were announced, showcasing the remarkable talent of the students. Sidak Kaur from B.Sc. 5th Semester won the poster making competition, while Harnoor from B.Sc. 1st Semester emerged victorious in the fabric ornamentation category.
These activities not only highlighted the students artistic skills but also their dedication to preserving and celebrating traditional handloom crafts said the Chairperson Prabhdip Brar, Ph.D., UIFT & VD.
