Celebration of Prayas Day at GNA University on occasion of World’s Menstrual Day 2022
JCI Phagwara GNA Uni and Marketing Club of GNA Business School organised a Walkathon to celebrate "Prayas Day- World Menstruation Hygiene Day" for spreading awareness on Menstrual Hygiene as a social cause.
Jalandhar, May 30, 2022: JCI Phagwara GNA Uni and Marketing Club of GNA Business School organised a Walkathon to celebrate "Prayas Day- World Menstruation Hygiene Day" for spreading awareness on Menstrual Hygiene as a social cause. The main objective was to break the silence and let the people talk openly about Menstruation Hygiene.
Poster Making and Open Mike Competitions were also organised where students from various streams participated and shared their views on the same through their creativity and intellect.
Apart from that, JCI Phagwara GNA Uni in association with NSS wing conducted an expert session by Dr. Deepti Luthra, Gynaecologist & Obstetrician, Hysteroscopist, Colposcopist & Fertility Specialist, Chawla Nursing Home & Maternity Hospital, to generate awareness about Menstruation Hygiene at Shiv Devi Girls High School, VikramPura, Jalandhar. After that, 600 free sanitary napkins were distributed to the needy females.
The event was organized by Dr. Manpreet Kaur, President JCI Phagwara GNA UNI & Assistant Professor, GNA Business School, GNA University accompanied by Dr.A K Dhaliwal and Neetu Mahendru, Assistant Professor, GNA Business School, GNA University.
The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks presented by Ashu Sharma, Principal, Shiv Devi Girls High School. She appreciated the efforts made by GNA University for talking about such a sensitive and important topic. Thus, the event ended with a noble cause to serve the society.
