CGC Jhanjeri girls win PTU’s inter college volleyball tournament

Mohali, November 29, 2019: The girls of CGC Jhanjeri won Inter College Volleyball Tournament organized by PTU Jalandhar, for the third time consecutively. 6 colleges participated in the tournament which was held at IKG PTU Campus Jalandhar. CGC Jhanjeri played their first match against GNDEC Ludhiana and won it by 2 - 0 sets (25-15, 25-12). Second match (semi-final) was played by Jhanjeri team with IKGPTU and they again recorded straight victory by winning the first two sets (25-14, 25-18). Final match was played between CGC Jhanjeri and CGC campus Landran. CGC Jhanjeri girls won this match also by 2-0 sets (25-13, 25-10). As such the team of CGC, Jhanjeri was honoured with the glittering trophy while second & third positions went to CGC Landran & PTU Jalandhar respectively. The team members of CGC Jhanjeri included Simranjeet Kaur, Captain, Reshu Jha, Shivani Chauhan, Aditi, Karitka, and Sandeep. Congratulating the team members and their coach, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC said that t all possible facilities are provided to the students of this campus to hone their talent in sports and cultural activities apart from education .
