CGC Jhanjeri hosts two days seminar on Beyond Automation- Industry & the Future of Manufacturing

Mohali, August 23, 2024: The Department of Applied Sciences at CGC, Jhanjeri Campus organized a two-day seminar under the AICTE-VAANI scheme. The theme was Beyond Automation: Industry 4.0 and the Future of Manufacturing. With nine sessions scheduled over the two days, 123 participants from various colleges and schools participated in the event offering a unique opportunity to engage with industry leaders and deepen their understanding of Industry.  The seminar brought together leading experts from the education and research sectors to share insights into the advancements of the fourth industrial revolution.

The seminar aimed to promote high standards in technical education, particularly in regional languages, by providing a platform for academicians and professionals to exchange knowledge, experiences, and innovations across 12 emerging fields.
Speakers from prestigious institutions and industry shared their expertise through insightful lectures supported by audio-visual aids. The keynote speakers at the event were  Dr. Rupinder Singh, NITTTR Chandigarh, Dr. Varun Sharma, IIT Roorkee & Dr. Harwinder Singh, GNDEC Ludhiana.

Varun Sharma, Industrial Engineer, Luminous India, Dr. Avinash Sharma, Director of Engineering, CEC, Jhanjeri, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Sharma, NIT Hamirpur, Dr. Gurinder Singh Brar NIT Uttarakhand, Dr. Rajeev Kumar Dang, UIET, Panjab University, Dr. Ashwani Kumar Sharma, CEC, Jhanjeri campus also share their views in two days seminar.

Arsh Dhaliwal, MD, CGC Jhanjeri while emphasizing  said that  the significance of such  is to create a learning ecosystem that bridges the gap between academia and industry. This seminar is a step towards ensuring that our students are not just aware of current trends but are also equipped to lead in these rapidly changing times.
