CGC Landran celebrates International Women’s Day 2022 marking gender equality
The panelists comprising a mix of eminent men and women were deliberately chosen to be in sync with the theme and make the discussion a healthy one
Chandigarh, March 8, 2022: To celebrate womanhood and propagate the spirit of gender parity, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran organized a panel discussion on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Set on this year’s theme of ‘Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”, the event witnessed guests from varied fields across verticals namely Mr.VivekAtrayEx – IAS, Motivational Speaker, Author- Principal, Dr. Poonam AggarwalThakur, NIIFT(Mohali) - Ms.Surinder Kaur Waraich, IRS, Joint Commissioner Income Tax (GOI)- Mr. Simarpreet Singh, Director, Hartek Group –– Ms. Ramniq Sandhu-Actress- LokeshVermaCGM, DainikSavera TimesDr. Shatrughan Bhardwaj -Regional Coordinator, MGNCRE, Dept. of Higher Education, GOI - RJ ShatabadiRED FM also known as Drama Queen–who formed the panelists for the discussion.

The event began with the guests sharing their personal experiences followed by a discussion on the key topics including Creating Gender Equal World, End Gender-Based Violence, Economic Justice, and Feminist Leadership, to name a few.
The latter part of the day witnessed an array of intriguing performances by the male faculty and staff of the college as a dedication to the hard work of the female employees.
President Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal and Chairman Satnam Singh Sandhu truly acknowledged the commitment and diligence of the women faculty on campus and conferred special gifts to the Class 4 employees.
