CGC Landran holds 2-day national online faculty development program
Prepares educationists for new normal in teaching
Chandigarh: Chandigarh College of Education, CGC Landran conducted a 2-day National Online Faculty Development Programme on 'Online Course Design, Development and Delivery’. As Digital Learning has become an indispensable resource for education amid the Coronavirus crisis, this Faculty Development Program apprised educationists of the distinct online tools available for imparting education to the students. Around 150 participants from different parts of the country including Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Hyderabad, Haryana, Delhi, and Coimbatore attended this online session.
Dr. Satinder Dhillon, Vice President (North Zone), Council for Teacher Education Foundation (Pb & Chd Chapter), Former Dean, Panjab University, Chandigarh showed her virtual presence as the Chief Guest and thoroughly encouraged the participants. Prof. Panch Ramalingam, INSPA, President, Pondicherry University, Puducherry was the keynote speaker.
The resource persons for the FDP were roped in from School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad (UoH) - Dr. P. Murugan and from Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod - K.Thiyagu, Assistant Professor, Department of Education. They spoke on topics including Google Site, Open Educational Resources and Moodle Site. Besides this, Dr. Sneh Bansal, Principal, Chandigarh College of Education and Mr. Neeraj Sharma, Chandigarh College of Engineering from the host college also shared their valuable knowledge on important aspects of online teaching.
