CGC Landran lifts champion’s trophy in IKGPTU Inter College weightlifting, powerlifting and best physique tournaments

In keenly contested finals of IKGPTU Inter College Weightlifting, Powerlifting and Best Physique contests at Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran the host college lifted the Powerlifting, Weightlifting and Best Physique trophies winning its 10th successive trophy across all three formats. In the best physique competition hosted on day three, CGC Landran won the first position with 27 points, CGC Jhanjeri with 09 points, bagged the second position while GNDE Ludhiana won the third position with 07 points. Jatin from CGC Landran won the Mr IKGPTU individual title for best physique. In the Powerlifting championships CGC Landran took the first position with 36 points while GNE Ludhiana won the second position with 09 points while CGC Jhanjeri stood third with 06 points. In the Weightlifting competitions CGC Landran was adjudged first prize winner with 37 points, RIET Phagwara came second with 11 points and RIMS Phagwara stood third with 07 points. Winners across all categories were felicitated with medals and the champion’s trophy. The award ceremony was graced by Mr HS Bansal, Vice President, Chandigarh Weightlifting Association, Mr KDS Nagra, President Chandigarh Powerlifting Association, management of CGC Landran among others. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, expressed their happiness over the successful conduct of the championships and congratulated the winners. They also thanked the participating colleges for their sportsman spirit and discipline.
