CGC Landran formally welcomed and inducted new students in the campus, through an orientation ceremony for the new academic session 2022. The fact that this event was conducted offline, in campus, unlike the previous two which were held online owing to Covid-related restrictions, made the occasion more special. The freshers as well as their parents were accorded a warm welcome by the Management and the faculty members. The fresh batch of students drawn from across the country are pursuing courses in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Hotel Management, among others.
The orientation session began with the lamp lighting ceremony invoking the blessings of the almighty. Welcoming the fresh batches of students, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran, assured them of CGC’s commitment towards their career progression by providing the best of academic experience and opportunities for their overall personality development. Highlighting CGC’s legacy of excellent placements, year on year, he reiterated the institution’s intent to reinforce the same through industry collaborations, inculcating research, innovation & entrepreneurial outlook among students. He concluded his remarks by extending his best wishes to the students for the new session and urged them to work hard, focus on studies and stay away from the menace of drugs.
The orientation sessions further saw the new students being acquainted with the significant aspects of college life including the curriculum, attendance requirements, student achievements, campus placements, international alliances, research and innovation among others. Students from 15-plus Indian states including, Manipur Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and others, are commencing their studies at CGC Landran under the new academic session 2022.
