Chairman Gurpreet Singh Gogi inaugurates start of construction of concrete roads in focal point
21-Km roads to be constructed with cost of Rs 40 crore within 8 months: Gogi
Ludhiana: Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC) Chairman Mr Gurpreet Singh Gogi today inaugurated the start of constriction of concrete roads in Focal Point Ludhiana. These concrete roads, that are around 21 km in length, would be constructed with a cost of Rs 40 crore within next 8 months time.
Mr Gogi was also accompanied by Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation (PSIDC) Mr KK Bawa, Punjab Large Industries Development Board (PLIDB) Chairman Mr Pawan Dewan, besides several leading industrialists and senior PSIEC officials.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Gurpreet Singh Gogi informed that a total of 21.26 km concrete roads would be constructed in the Focal Points, Ludhiana, that includes 6.39 km roads would be constructed in Phase 6, 5.28 lm in phase 7, 5.13 km road would be constructed in Phase 8, 2.47 km in phase 4A and 1.99 km in phase 5.
He informed that PSIEC would be beautifying and upgrading the existing infrastructure in focal points situated in other districts of the state. He informed that more than Rs 200 crore would be spent on this work, and the work orders for these works have already been issued. He said that the “smart” focal points would have entry gates, fire stations, ESI dispensaries, well maintained green belts, landscaping, besides other amenities. He also informed that PSIEC is also coming up with One Time Settlement Scheme for industrialists shortly, where all pending disputes of industrialists would be settled.
Mr Gogi also thanked Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and Punjab Minister of Industry & Commerce Mr Sham Sunder Arora for granting Rs 40 Crore for development of the focal point roads.
