The Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Shivraj V.Patil released special news bulletin on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day at Punjab Raj Bhavan on Friday. Brig. (Retd.) Manjit Singh, Director, Defence Services Welfare was also seen in the picture.
Chandigarh, December 6, 2013: Director Sainik Welfare Punjab Brig. (Retd.) Manjit Singh, today pinned Armed Forces Flag on the Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Shivraj V. Patil on the
occasion of the Armed Forces Flag Day at Punjab Raj Bhavan.
Patil was the first one who made the donation on this auspicious day.
Releasing brochures RANN – JODHEY of Punjab Sainik Welfare, Patil said that our Armed Forces have been serving the Nation with great distinction both during war and peace. This day reminds us of our
responsibility towards the Armed Forces for their splendid service and sacrifice for the Motherland. On this day, we also salute the martyrs for their supreme sacrifice and courage.
The Governor urged all the citizens to voluntarily contribute towards the noble cause of the rehabilitation of war widows, disabled defence personnel and Ex-servicemen and make the Armed Forces Flag Day 2013 a
great success.
