Chandigarh Orthodontic Study Group Elects its New Convener

Chandigarh, August 28, 2023: Dr. Deepak Kumar Gupta, Professor & HOD, Dept. of Orthodontics, Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Panjab University, Chandigarh has been unanimously elected as convener of the Chandigarh Orthodontic Study Group. The Chandigarh Orthodontic Study Group is a subsidiary Organisation of the Indian Orthodontic Society and looks after the objectives of spreading awareness and scientific advances in the field of orthodontics.
Dr. Deepak Kumar Gupta is an experienced leader and a well-respected member of the orthodontic community. Dr. Gupta thanked everyone who participated in the election process and said that he looks forward to working with other members to advance the field of orthodontics.
Dr Gupta said that one of the important tasks at hand is to win the bid for Chandigarh to host the 60th Indian Orthodontic Conference in 2026. The selection will take place by election of the same in the Annual General Body Meeting of the Indian Orthodontic Society to be held in mid-September 2023. Chandigarh City will be participating in the bid against Delhi.
