Channi attends last rites of Mata Chand Kaur in Bhaini Sahib

Demands, Home minister Sukhbir Singh Badal should resign immediately owing deteriorating law and order situation
Ludhiana/ Bhaini Sahib, April 5, 2016: The home minister of Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal should immediately resign from his post taking moral responsibility for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. While participating in the last rites of late Mata Chand Kaur in Bhaini Sahib today, S Charanjit Singh Channi, Leader of opposition, said that the law and order situation in the state has worsened badly in the recent times. Now the people are not safe in their homes also. The very tragic shoot out in the Bhaini Sahib premises in which Late Mata Chand Kaur died is glaring example to this. The police have become just a mute spectator in the hands of their political bosses.

Channi further said that the government decision to constitute SIT is also a mere eyewash. The SIT is being worked out to just give easy way to the culprits which has been happening in earlier cases also.

Channi attended the last rites of Late Mata Chand Kaur at Bhaini Sahib alongwith the party legislatures and senior leaders. Others who were present included S Ravnit Singh Bittu MP, Sh Bharat Bhushan Ashu MLA, S Sadhi Singh dharamsot MLA, S Navtej Cheema MLA, S Kuljit Singh Nagra, MLA, Smt Guriqbal Kaur MLA, S Tej Parksh singh, S Malkit Singh Dakha, S Amar Singh, K K Bawa, Gurdev Singh lapran, Sanjay Talwar, Lakhvir Singh Lakha, , Harcharan Singh Sotha brar and Vikram Bajwa.
