Jalandhar, March 26, 2013: Chaudhary Harbans Lal Park in Ward No 30 here is in pathetic condition over the period.
This park is located in heart of the city.
This park is used for morning and evening walk by residents of nearby localitiessuch as Mohalla Krishan Nagar. The park has a large number of tress.
But, the park is not maintained in a proper manner, the footpaths are in pathetic condition. There is a need to immediately repair these footpaths on priority basis.
Pawan Malhan, an area resident, has demanded from the Mayor Municipal Corporation Sunil Jyoti, Area Councillor Rajinder Beri, MLA Manoranjan Kaliaand others to allocate discretionary quota funds for the renovation of the park.
Another area resident Gurbachan Singh said it was really strange that why the government was not allocating funds for green belts and developing of parks that keep the environment pollution free.
