Ferozepur , October 23, 2012: The Kulgarhi police have registered a case against two persons for cheating and virtually duping Rs.12 lakhs with a promise to send Canada.
Giving this information, Sudesh Pal Singh, SI, informed that according to Bachhitar Singh, resident of Basti Bhai Ki (Doomniwala), Joginder Singh of Jamitpur Dheru and Varinder Singh of Sukhwinder Singh resident of Bazar Jattan Wala, Amritsar have taken Rs.12 lakh from him on the pretext of sending his son Sukhchain Singh to Canada but neither his son has been sent to Canada nor the said amount has been returned to him.
The Mamdot police have registered a case against both the persons under sections 420 and 120-B IPC and further proceedings have been initiated.
