The Junior Pastry Indian Cup 2023 was a two-day competition that consisted of six challenges: sugar showpiece, chocolate showpiece, The Valrhona Chocolate Cake (Entremet) , dessert on a plate, dessert in a glass, and mini pastries. The challenges were judged on artistic expression and technical skill, professional ethics and hygiene, and taste.

New Delhi, Aug 8 (IANSlife) The Junior Pastry Indian Cup 2023 was a two-day competition that consisted of six challenges: sugar showpiece, chocolate showpiece, The Valrhona Chocolate Cake (Entremet) , dessert on a plate, dessert in a glass, and mini pastries. The challenges were judged on artistic expression and technical skill, professional ethics and hygiene, and taste.

The competition was organised by Hammer Publishers Pvt. Ltd in association with IHE Expo 2023. The national selection process was held at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, NCR, India.

The winning team will proudly represent India at the prestigious Junior Pastry World Cup during the SIGEP Show in January 2024, which will take place in the charming city of Rimini, Italy. The expenses for airfare and accommodation will be fully covered, making this journey a dream come true for the talented pastry chefs!

The Junior Pastry Indian Cup is an annual competition that aims to create a training ground for major international competitions, providing global exposure for Indian aspiring pastry chefs. The competition celebrates the talents of the next generation of pastry chefs, fostering goodwill, quality, passion, creativity, collaboration, and respect among colleagues. The winner was from Whitecaps International School of Pastry. The team consisted of Chef Prerna Kothari and Chef Syed Sadia, who were mentored by Chef Ravi Dhuria.
