Players in action during Chess Competition at DIPS Gilzian in Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, May 11, 2016: A Chess competition U-14 and U-16 for boys and girls was held on Tuesday at DIPS Gilzian. This match was held under the supervision of Principal Mrs.Rekha Nayyar and observation of D.P.E Mr. Jatinder Pal Singh. It was an Inter-House competition. All the house masters encouraged their students. The main motive of activity was to polish the competitive and thinking skills of students.
In U-14 (boys) Shubhdeep Singh (Green house), U-14 (girls) Harmandeep Kaur (Yellow House) became winners.
In Category II U-16 (boys) RohanKumar (Blue House) , U-16 (girls) Jasmeen Kaur (Blue House) were winners.
During this competition teachers Ms.Kamaljit Kaur, Ms.Pooja Sharma, Ms.Rajveer Kaur, Ms.Parvez Sharma,Ms.Jatinder Kaur, Ms.Mandeep Kaur, Mr.Jaswinder Singh, Mr.Harpreet Singh and Mr.Satvir Singh were also present.
They enjoyed this match a lot. Principal Mam congratulated all the winners and participants.
