Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety Janak Kumar Garg visits Rail Coach Factory
Janak Kumar Garg, Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety visited Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala today where on his arrival, he was greeted by General Manager of RCF, S. Srinivas and other Senior Officers.
Kapurthala, April 19, 2024: Janak Kumar Garg, Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety visited Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala today where on his arrival, he was greeted by General Manager of RCF, S. Srinivas and other Senior Officers.
On arrival at RCF, Garg held a meeting with General Manager and Senior officers on core issues pertaining to Safety of coaches and introduction of new safety features and their application in new types of coaches produced by RCF.
CCRS Garg later visited workshop where he inspected the coach manufacturing processes in the workshop and examined various types of coaches being made by RCF viz. LHB AC Coaches , Narrow Gauge Vistadome Coaches, Vande Metro coaches etc.. Shri Garg also examined the safety components installed in coaches and their applications and had elaborate discussions on safety aspects with RCF Officers. He also visited Bogie Shop wherein, he inspected the bogie components and their manufacturing and installation.
In discussion with RCF Officers, he gave valuable suggestions on the issue related to safety in coaches. He said that safety of passengers in railway coaches should be the main priority and it is necessary to make all efforts for this. Apart from this, he gave valuable and important suggestions on the safety of railway employees also. While appreciating the steps to ensure safety, he advised RCF to adopt the best practices to enhance the safety standards in coaches.
