Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led state government takes effective step against illegal mining
Following the commitment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to provide transparent and corruption free services to the people of the state, taking an important decision, the mining department has integrated the electricity meters of all the crushers in the state into the portal of the department.

Chandigarh, September 30, 2023: Following the commitment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to provide transparent and corruption free services to the people of the state, taking an important decision, the mining department has integrated the electricity meters of all the crushers in the state into the portal of the department.
Divulging the details in a press statement issued here today, Mining Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said that bringing transparency in mining activities in the state, the meters of all the crushers have been integrated. The Portal of the Mining Department will be connected to the PSPCL meters and the crusher owners will inform the department about the meter reading every month.
The Mining Minister further said that illegal activities will be detected through this transparent system. He said that the State Government has a zero tolerance policy against illegal mining and those doing such activities will not be spared.
