Dharamshala, January 22, 2025: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu once again showcased his connection with the common man during a visit to Kachhari Chowk in Dharamshala today. At approximately 5:30 pm, the CM visited Dhagaru Sweet Shop, where he sipped tea and engaged in conversations with local shopkeepers and vendors.
In a heartfelt interaction, the Chief Minister began by buying peanuts worth ₹50 from Ramesh Chand, a Revdi vendor from Chandpur near Palampur. Chand, who has been running his stall since 1990, shared how the business supports his family.
The CM then visited Amarjot's vegetable shop, purchasing papayas and oranges for ₹500. During their conversation, Amarjot explained her family's struggles, as she shoulders the responsibility of running the shop after her father's passing. With younger siblings to support, Amarjot and her sister manage a vegetable shop and a juice stall, respectively.
Impressed by the family's resilience, the Chief Minister assured them of the state government's support. "The government has introduced several schemes to assist the needy, and all eligible families will benefit from these programs," he said.
This informal interaction highlights the Chief Minister's continued efforts to stay connected with the people and understand their challenges firsthand.
