Chief Secretary emphasised state government's commitment to all-round development of Kangra district
On Saturday, Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena held a meeting with the district administration and department heads in Dharamshala to review the physical status and progress of various proposed and ongoing major development projects in Kangra district.
Dharamsala, May 20, 2023: On Saturday, Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena held a meeting with the district administration and department heads in Dharamshala to review the physical status and progress of various proposed and ongoing major development projects in Kangra district.
The Chief Secretary emphasised the state government's commitment to the all-round development of Kangra district, with a focus on developing the district as a tourism capital and implementing various schemes for public welfare. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu's priority is to ensure timely implementation of flagship programs of the government in the district, so that the development of Kangra district becomes an example.
During the meeting, Prabodh Saxena discussed the progress of various construction activities, including the Central University, expansion work of Gaggal Airport, proposed plan of an international level convention center in Dharamshala, Zoological Park to be built in Bankhandi, proposed Old age Wellness Resort in Nagrota Bagwan, Proposed tourism village in Narghota, proposed construction of ice skating and roller skating rink in the district, golf course ground to be built in Paragpur, IT park being built and proposed in the district, proposed Aero City in Gaggal, proposed Dhauladhar Biodiversity Park in Dharamshala, construction of heliport, and reviewed the object status and progress of other development schemes including proposed tourism and adventure sports activities in Pong.
District Magistrate Dr. Nipun Jindal and top officials of various departments were present in the meeting.
