Chief Secretary VK Janjua inspects STP Jamalpur, reviews ongoing project to clean Buddha nullah
Punjab Chief Secretary (CS) Vijay Kumar Janjua reviewed the ongoing project to clean buddha nullah in the city on Friday.
Ludhiana, April 28, 2023: Punjab Chief Secretary (CS) Vijay Kumar Janjua reviewed the ongoing project to clean buddha nullah in the city on Friday.
During his visit, CS Janjua inspected the state's biggest SBR technology 225 mld sewer treatment plant (STP) established under Rs 650 crore project to clean buddha nullah.
CS VK Janjua was accompanied by CEO of Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board (PWSSB) MS Jaggi, MC Commissioner Dr Shena Aggarwal, DC Surabhi Malik among others. MC Commissioner Dr Shena Aggarwal apprised CS Janjua that the progress of the project is being regularly monitored.
While inspecting the STP Jamalpur, CS Janjua took a round of the plant and reviewed the process to treat the sewer waste. He also checked the outlet point of the STP to check treatment of waste.
Earlier CS Janjua along with the other officials also visited the buddha nullah site in village Baranhara (Hambran road) and inspected the ongoing works to establish effluent treatment plant (ETP) in Haibowal dairy complex. The ETP is being established to treat dairy waste.
CS Janjua directed the authorities to expedite the works being taken up under the project to clean the nullah and complete the project within the stipulated time period.
