Child Welfare NGOs must get register before May 30: DC
Nawanshahr, May 21, 2022: Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa on Saturday said that all NGOs engaged in welfare of children and are providing free stay, food, education, medical facilities etc, must get registered under Section 41 (1) of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015 before May 30, 2022.
He said that those NGOs which are still not registered, must contact the District Program Officer/District Child Protection Officer of SBS Nagar on 01823222322 or can visit room number-313 in the District Administrative Complex.
DC said that after May 30, if any NGO is working for the welfare of children, but is not registered, action would be taken against them under Section 42 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015.
