Children’s Day celebrated at Apeejay School

Jalandhar, November 14, 2014: Children’s Day was celebrated with great pomp and show at Apeejay School, Jalandhar under the stewardship of Principal Madhu Sharma.

A special assembly was organised on the occasion in which Talk, Thought, Presentation and an original video of Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru was shown to the students.

An Inter – House Folk – Dance Competition was also organized with a motive to guide students to hold themselves to the root of Indian Culture.

Beas House stood First as they presented Rajasthani Folk Dance. Saraswati  House stood second as they glued the audience with the Punjabi Folk Dance – Giddha, satluj House third with their energetic Bhangra and Yamuna House Also Stood third with their finesse in Haryanvi Folk Dance.

The audience was recelled and mesmerized with all the performances and therewas a new energy generated in each and every individual present in the auditorium.

Principal in her speech enlightened the students on the life of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, his love for children and his role in up a technological India.

She congratulated the participants of folk dance who displayed excellent dancing skills very gracefully. She congratulated all the house preceptors and associates as well for putting up a grand show.
