Children of DIPS expressed their concern towards growing population
To control the ever-increasing population in the world and to make the students aware about their shortcomings, World Population Day was celebrated in Dips School gilzian.
Jalandhar, July 11, 2022: To control the ever-increasing population in the world and to make the students aware about their shortcomings, World Population Day was celebrated in Dips School Gilzian. The students made their classmates aware of the concern about the growing population through posters, speeches, plays. Very beautiful slogans were written by the students on the poster in which they gave information about the problems due to increase in population. By playing drama, the children told that how we can stop this increasing population. This year the world population has reached close to 8 billion.
Giving more information to the students about this day, the teachers told that this day was started by the United Nations Development Program in 1989. After this, expressing concern over the increasing population around the world, it was decided to celebrate this day.
The principal Gurpreet Kaur said that ever-increasing population has become a curse for us. Due to this, environmental pollution is increasing continuously and people are falling prey to various diseases. Along with this, problems like unemployment, hunger, illiteracy are also increasing rapidly. Therefore, it is necessary that necessary steps should be taken for family planning. A small family is a happy family because it can easily fulfill its needs.
