Children’s Carnival at GHSC-10, Chandigarh
One week long Children’s Day Celebrations finally culminated into Children’s Carnival today in the campus of Government Home Science College, Chandigarh. For the celebrations, the ground of ‘Chaitanya’ was turned into ‘Mela Arena’.
Chandigarh, November 19, 2022: One week long Children’s Day Celebrations finally culminated into Children’s Carnival today in the campus of Government Home Science College, Chandigarh. For the celebrations, the ground of ‘Chaitanya’ was turned into ‘Mela Arena’.
The college runs an experimental school ‘Chaitanya’ Laboratory Nursery School having Pre-nursery & Nursery classes. Being under the Department of Human Development the school acts like a laboratory nursery school which provides enriching & stimulating environment to children through experiential learning for their holistic development.
Prof. Sudha Katyal, Principal of the college inaugurated the carnival. Home Scientists as young entrepreneurs displayed their skills and talents by putting up a number of stalls which included fun games for children, huge variety of nutritious munchies & snacks , live mock-tails, cotton candy, ice-cream, balloons, tattoo making, trampoline and joy & camel rides.
A huge footfall was seen during the carnival and inclusivity was focused upon as normal and special children (aged 01 year to 20 years) were invited from different schools. It was a day full of fun, frolic, dancing and creativity.
Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal congratulated the students for putting up a great show and showcasing their skills and expertise thereby making an event a great success. She further applauded the efforts of the students and working towards ‘Earn While They Learn’. Prof. Katyal also congratulated the department of Human Development and Food & Nutrition for making collaborative efforts.
