Harvard and Stanford Universities' alumnus Christian Karega during her visit to Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus.at Jalandhar on Tuesday. 

Jalandhar, November 25, 2014: Christian Karega who is presently serving as Manager, International Business Development, The Vitamin Shoppe, USA visited Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus. The Vitamin Shoope is the second largest retailer of nutritional supplements in the United States. Karega is a product of the prestigious Stanford and Harvard Universities. She received her MBA degree with distinction from Harvard University. 
She was accorded a warm reception. At first, Kanika Chopra, Assistant Professor in Business Communication delivered a presentation highlighting all the activities conducted, and practices, instructional styles and strategies that are employed to teach students. She also gave an overview of all the cells and committees functioning in the institution like the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Placement Cells, The Literary Club etc. The Deans of all the three schools also gave an overview of the three schools run by the institution: School of Management Studies, School of Business Studies and School of Information Technology. 
This was followed by an interactive session where Karega expressed her view points on wide-ranging topics. She acquainted the faculty members about  the practices and teaching methodologies like the Case Study Method used in Harvard University. She added that students should not merely be taught various concepts through this method but also made to write cases themselves. She also expressed her views on the scope of E- Commerce in India and the government regulations for E-Commerce in India. 
Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus expressed gratitude to Karega for her visit and valuable insights on various issues. Dr. Bagga also lauded the efforts which Karega is putting in, as the co-founder of Zimbabwe Education Fund. He said, “It is appreciable that Ms. Karega is not only contributing to the world of Business but is earnestly trying to bring a difference in the lives of the under privileged.”
