CIA sleuths arrest two with fake currency, arms and ammunition
Ferozepur, January 25, 2022: Two persons have been arrested by the sleuths belonging to Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) and a Chinese made pistol (.30 bore) alongwith 25 live rounds, besides FICN (Fake Indian Currency Notes) worth Rs. 80,000/-, five mobiles, one internet dongle, a car and three bikes from them.
While divulging details, SSP Narinder Bhargav said that following the inputs the CIA sleuths laid a trap and nabbed the accused identified as Vikram and Arun Bhatti, both residents of Village Bare ke while they were traveling on a car and a bike (both vehicle with fake numbers). The SSP said that two other accused identified as Balwinder Singh alias Vicky, resident of Village Saddu Shah Wala and Tek Chand (father of Vikram) managed to dodge the police.
“The police recovered a pistol (China made, .30 bore) alongwith 25 rounds besides FICN (Fake Indian Currency Notes) worth Rs. 80,000/-, five mobiles, one internet dongle from them. During the preliminary investigation, it also came to fore that earlier also the accused had received the consignment of heroin, arms and ammunition. This time also the accused had received the consignment of 6 Kg heroin which was with the accused Balwinder and Tek Chand”, informed SSP.
The SSP said that a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused and very soon they will be arrested. The police booked the accused under sections 379, 411, 420, 473, 489 A, 489 B, 489 C, 23, 23 NDPS Act and 25 Arms Act at Sadar police station (FIR No. 18 Dated 25.01.2022).
