CICU’s initiative to increase bi-lateral trade with Republic of Kosovo
Ludhiana, February 4, 2014: Avni Dervishi, Political Advisor for International Affairs, The Republic of KOSOVO and Jagmohan Bajaj, Advisor; visited Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) office for the purpose of possibilities of increasing bi-lateral trade between India and the Republic of Kosovo. Kosovo declared itself as an Independent State on 17th February, 2008.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary, CICU gave the detailed presentation about the CICU’s activities and the Products manufactured in Ludhiana. He also mentioned that Made-in-Ludhiana Products like Bi-cycle, Woollen, Garments, Sewing Machines, Hand Tools Machines and Farm Machinery etc. are being exported throughout the world.
Avni Dervishi explained about the economy in Kosovo. He also revealed that his country makes lot of imports from China, Turkey and other European countries. So, KOSOVO can also import products from India. Kosovo is having rich minerals like coal and crude oil etc. which can be exported to India.
Baldev Singh, President, All India Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association mentioned about the strength of Agricultural Machinery Products and said that they can help Kosovo for Farm Mechanization.
The meeting was attended by Suresh Chaudhary, Phumman Singh, Baldev Singh Amar, Manjit Singh of M/s Jagatjeet Industries.
