CICU Empanelled as Skill Development Partner under Punjab Skill Development Mission.

Ludhiana, December 24, 2018: As you already know CICU has established in 2012 a Skill Development Centre at its Gill Road office, which offers world class Training Programs to create a world class Training workforce so as to bridge a large gap between Academic & industry/Trade and to provide Job related Skill Trainings to the unemployed and under employed youth of Punjab. It will enable the Youth to contribute to the development of Industry and Trade.

In a meeting of CFT Committee at CICU Gill Road office the President –CICU annouced that CICU Skill Development Center has been Empanelled & upgraded as Training Partner for the State of Punjab under varius Govt. Schemes like, DAY-NULM,PMKVY & other Schemes initiated & run by the State Govt. under PSDM (Punjab Skill Development Mission) & NSDC etc.

CICU centre is Accreditation with Four star Rating by Government of India under PRADHAN MANTRI KAUSHAL VIKAS YOJANA (PMKVY 2.0), which is Flagship Scheme of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), under “Skill India Mission”. This will boost the productivity of country by enabling youth to acquire high quality skill Trainings cross a range of sectors. It will also bring about a Paradigm Shift from Input Based Skill Trainings to outcome based trainings, at much faster pace without compromising quality parameters.

Under this program CICU has been allotted 120 seats for the Documentation Assistant and Banking & Accounting for providing training to the unemployed youth & making them Employable in the member companies and trade. No fee is being charged from these candidates and they are provided study material for daily training. The assesment & Certifications is done by the Govt. of India/ State Govt. The admission is open under DAY-NULM Scheme for these Courses.This scheme is under National Urban Livelihood Mission by Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation.

The Skill Develpoment Center run by CICU is likely to get more such courses for different traning centres which will be opened by the CICU in different districts of Punjab shortly, to enable maximum number of youth employable under the schemes like “Ghar Ghar Rojgar Yojana” to achieve Skill India Mission & Make in India Mission which are dream projects of Govt.for the benefit of Industry & Trade Sectors of Punjab. This will also improve the social/financial status of the families of these candidates & help the youth from diversion to drug addictions & social crimes etc.

CICU Skill Development Centre is providing such trainings to more than 500 candidates every year & provides trained manpower to Industry & Trade Sectors of Punjab so as to bridge the gap for Skilled Man Power to these Sectors, which will ultimately enhance productivity, quality & promote export etc.
