Ludhiana: CICU Executive Committee holds a live Budget meet to discuss the outcomes of the Union Annual Budget 2023-24 at Park Plaza, Ludhiana.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU while sharing his views on the Union Budget 2023-24 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman appreciated the following points of the Union budget:
• 3400 Legal Systems to be removed
• For MSME 1% Interest subvention scheme
• 9000 Cr. for MSME Credit Guarantee Scheme will help MSMEs to get loans.
• 10,000 Cr per year for urban infra development fund
• 50-year interest-free loan to State Government extended for one more year
• Income tax rebate increased to Rs. 7 Lakh from 5 Lakh in the new tax regime
• 30 skill India international center to be set up in all states
• EV Battery custom duty reduced.
• 66% increase in PM Awas Yojna
• Agritech Startups accelerator funds have been granted.
• Govt. has also initiated computerization for 63,000 primary agricultural credit societies with an investment of Rs. 2,516 cr.
• Blender CNG GST exempted.
