CICU in association with LPU organized (Manthan 4.0) workshop on Industry-Institute Innovation
Ludhiana, December 4, 2021: In order to collaborate and boost relationship with the Industry of Punjab and academia, CICU in association with LPU organised a mega vent Manthan i.e. “Conference on industry instate innovation” attended by more than 150 prominent industrialists Onkar Singh Pahwa, CMD, Avon Cycle Ltd., Ambrish Jain from Kangaroo Group, J.R Single from Eastman Group.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, President CICU while welcoming all the dignitaries highlighted that MANTHAN is a platform to create strategies, and an environment that supports synergies for all involved parties and community in general. It is worthwhile to mention that these meetings would be an excellent opportunity to build network with all Industry sectors.
The objectives of Manthan are as follows:
• Providing new insights and solutions to accelerate Innovation, Productivity, Growth and Confidence Building.
• Identification of new and existing engineering directions in line with trends, in industry that could be incorporated into the institute degree programs and activities.
• Levels, including teaching, research and consultancy, student projects, short courses and industry weeks.
• Continuous review of existing degree programs within the institute in terms of the extent, to prepare engineering students for professional careers in industry.
• Identifying the opportunities for the student’s involvement in industry defined projects.
• Inclusion of additional certifications/courses as per industry requirements in regular curriculum.
• Entrepreneurship program of the institute and discovering new placement opportunities.
CICU also honoured Ashok Mittal, Chancellor, Lovely Professional University with the esteemed “Academic Leader of The Decade” Title at Manthan for his extra ordinary efforts in the field of employment generation and career planning of students.

Industry partnerships are instrumental in advancing research and creating a skilled workforce. Industry gains work-ready talent with specialist knowledge and practical training, and universities benefit by having opportunities to work on relevant technologies and challenging problems.
Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU mentioned that Collaboration can provide a much-needed boost and quickly in academic and co-curricular offerings for institutions without strengths in certain areas. By emphasizing collaboration, both can define this new era of higher education as one of growth through cooperation rather than retrenchment. This will serve as a platform to create strategies, and an environment that supports synergies for all involved parties and community in general.
