Today, on World Intellectual Property Day, Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings(CICU) in association with MSME-DI, Ludhiana organized a Webinar on “Intellectual Property Management” for Young Entrepreneurs, Technocrats, Academics, Engineers, Architects, Industry professionals and Startups, which will enable them to how to use Intellectual Property (IP) rights to build stronger, more competitive and resilient businesses.
Upkar Singh Ahuja President and Sh. Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU in a joint statement said that the main objective of this Seminar is to create awareness amongst the Entrepreneurs & Business manager fraternity for the Brand protection rights & laws and Rights for Design, Copyrights & Trademarks for their manufactured products. It will also help to eliminate the duplicate brand & trademark coming in the market.
Rajan Ailawadi, Patent Attorney, M/s. CIP Legit, Gurgaon explained the through a presentation about the Importance of Brand Protection & Trademark, Cycle of Brand Protection from Clearance to Enforcement, Legal issues of Trademarks, Design, Patents & Copyright Laws, and Importance of stringent clauses in contracts on liability, indemnity, IP protection etc.
Vivek Dahiya, IP & Innovation Strategist, Boudhik Ventures, Gurgaon and R.K Parmar, Asstt. Director, MSME Development Institute, Ludhiana also shared their provoking thoughts on IPR.
