CICU initiative to nurture micro and small sector “how to become a smart SME”
Ludhiana, September 15, 2019: Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana organized program to grow and upgrade the level of SMEs of Ludhiana. Various speakers spoke on the topic “how to become a smart SME”. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President CICU said that the main objective to organized this program to grow and upgrade the level of SMEs of Ludhiana. He also shared that the owners should always look for improvement, better ambiance in the factory and 20% of recourses should be used to develop new products. New ideas, innovation & developments are defiantly helps the SMEs to achieve the next level. Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU as Moderator said that it is becoming increasingly difficult for SMEs to grow and they have lack of knowledge of products, which they are being manufacturing, technology etc. SMEs can grow by using small tips like better technology, better management, Efficiency. Jatinder Singh - Endico Power Tools shared his story of success. He also motivated the SMEs by branding and best quality of the products. He also said that customer satisfaction will always grow the business. Major Singh - Jaewoo Machines also shared his success story, how his company grow. He also said that there are various type of expensive machines are available in the market, which are not affordable for SMEs. Industrialist should use cheap machines, which can work same as expensive do. The resources and low cost automation will help the SMEs. Sarabjot Singh Saini, Technical Expert, GIZ gave a presentation on MSME innovation. He said that there are many project has been running in India to develop new products and to help the MSMEs. The group of engineering students working in these project and developing techniques of low cost automation. He also said that GIZ in process of making the same group of Students in Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana to help MSMEs. Rahul Priyadarshi - GM, SIDBI shared the new schemes of SIDBI like Smile, Speed and other Schemes. He also said that through the Speed Scheme daily 2 loans has been provided for purchase of equipment for enterprises development sanction only 1 or 2 day. The special rate of interest of loans will be given to CICU members. Tarun Kumar, Reginoal Sales Manager, Punjab, Royal Software gave a presentation on benefits of using Tally ERP-9. Rakesh Pathak from DIC also gave a presentation about industrial policy for old and newly established units. He said that the Govt. of Punjab R.K.Parmar, Assistant Director-MSME-DI also said that there are various schemes of MSME for all type of industry. He further said that the Central Government has decided to continue the Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (CLCSS), in which MSMEs can take of the benefits of 15 Lakh subsidy for purchasing machinery of Rs. 1 Crore. The vote of thanks was presented by J.S Bhogal, Vice President, Publicity Secretary, CICU and he also shared useful thoughts for change the mind sets of the Industrialists for betterment. The program was attended by more than 115 industrialists some by namely Didarjit Singh, Kulwant Singh Sall, Ravinder Saini, Gautam Malhotra, Sanjay Dhiman, Hardial Singh, Ranjit Singh Ubhi, Hardeep singh, Jaspreet Singh JP industries and other members of the Chamber.
